About You The Staff Accountant is responsible for preparing account analysis and reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts. Additionally, they will support the accounting team with period-end processes and audit inquiries. This position reports to the Accounting Department.

Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Process weekly check runs efficiently and accurately to facilitate timely payment of invoices.
Provide support during audit testing by assisting in gathering necessary documentation and explanations.
Process biweekly/weekly payroll, including setting up garnishments, balancing tax reports, and reconciling payroll accrual accounts.
Administer the P-card program, including setting up new cardholders and analyzing spending to identify problem areas.
Undertake ad hoc projects as necessary to support the evolving needs of the organization.
What You Bring to the Team
Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience is preferred.
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with an analytical mindset to effectively communicate financial information.
Flexibility and a desire to work in a fast-paced and evolving organization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, Outlook, and Office 365.
Self-motivation with the ability to work independently, taking initiative to resolve issues and complete tasks.
Outstanding organization skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
An Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
